Before the interview

While you are waiting for your interview, take yourself away somewhere completely private such as the WC and perform the “Sarnoff Squeeze”. Simply Google this on the net and you will find that those butterflies that were bothering you will have disappeared. It’s a useful technique and it certainly does work.

In the job interview

Remember that the reason why you are in the interview room in the first instance is that the organisation needs to employ someone. It might as well be you and not somebody else. The job interview is an artificial environment and in many instances, the interviewer will be equally nervous.

Answering the question they ask you

When someone asks a question, they usually want an answer and preferably an answer to the question that was asked. It makes sense then that answering the question is the best thing to do.
